non li avevo mai sentiti prima d'ora ma ad un primo ascolto devo dire che il disco (Here Comes The Wind) è molto carino :D un pop scanzonato, divertente e vario.

La vera sorpresa

nel vedere il fim di Woodstock oggi al CPM è stata l'esibizione di Santana, musicista che avevo sempre sottovaluto. Suona, con la sua band, un brano di dieci minuti, strumentale ed è da rimanere a bocca aperta, lui straordinario, batterista grandioso ma ogni singolo musicista è notevole, sopratutto considerato il basso livello di capacità tecnica tipico dei musicisti del periodo. Suonano un misto tra rock, blues, struttura aperta jazz e percussione etniche in sottofondo che suona strano ora, figuriamoci nel 1969.

LA VISIONE (se youtube carica il video, cosa che di recente non avviene molto spesso) E' OBBLIGATORIA.

SI, quel tizio che suona la chitarra e canta in un gruppetto come i TELEVISION, si quelli che hanno fatto un certo disco intitolato Marquee Moon, a mio modesto avviso uno dei dieci dischi migliori della storia del rock.
Non so cosa suonerà e non mi importa, mi basta vederlo e sentirlo suonare in quel modo particolare e sorprendente che ha solo lui e che tanto ha influenzato svariati chitarristi dopo di lui.

questa me la sposerei.
eh si lo so che so che sono precipitoso nelle mie scelte e che la Jemina sarà gelosa.
Ma l'equazione ragazzina bionda + chitarra folk + canzone semplice ma tenera + video basic ma carino = Io questa me la sposerei, e se una certa persona me la fa intervistare potrei anche pensare a farle la proposta.

per avermi consigliato questo disco che, già ad un primo ascolto, si rivela un "signor disco". E ho capito solo ora che grandi musicisti fossero Mike Bloomfield e Al Kooper.
E pensare che un talento del genere di Bloomfield ha buttato tutto al vento per l'eroina mette una tristezza.
